PASAY CITY – On September 12, 2026, Saint Paul Seminary Foundation (SPSF) seminarians served as part of the teams for the 13th St. Paul National Bible Quiz (SPNBQ13) and hosted a vocation talk show at the St. Paul’s booth during the 47th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
The seminarians served as part of the social media team for the 13th St. Paul National Bible Quiz (SPNBQ13), an annual biblical apostolate of the Society of Saint Paul in the Philippines and the St. Paul Bible Ministry. This year’s competition carried the theme, “Sower of the Word, Channels of Peace.â€
Now on its third year of collaboration with the SPNBQ, the SPSF aspirants and seminarians contributed to the social media posting and live coverage of the event, assisting in various areas including media coverage.
More than an academic competition, the St. Paul National Bible Quiz seeks to bring young people closer to the Word of God and encourage them to live out its message in their daily lives.
Aside from their service to SPNBQ13, the seminarians also participated in the St. Paul’s booth at MIBF 2026, engaging visitors and sharing their experiences of seminary life and vocation.
As part of the booth’s program, Sem. Rhexelle Andrei Abdon, Sem. Gerick, Sem. Ernest, and Sem. Mark Danae Mangliman hosted a live talk show entitled “Called to Something More: Real Talk on Vocation with SSP Seminarians.â€
The conversation gave the seminarians an opportunity to speak about their personal experiences in formation, the realities of seminary life, and the journey of discerning God’s call.
Through their participation in SPNBQ13 and MIBF 2026, the SPSF seminarians experienced firsthand the apostolic mission of the Society of Saint Paul of bringing the Word of God to people through every means of communication. All for the gospel!
