A Different Kind of Valentine’s Day: SPSF Celebrates Love and Fellowship

Silang, Cavite – February 14, 2025 – Saint Paul Seminary Foundation (SPSF) celebrated Valentine’s Day with a heartwarming focus on fellowship and community. The seminary’s Student Council organized a special lunch gathering on February 14th, bringing together students from various religious congregations for an afternoon of connection and shared joy.

Lay students, seminarians, and religious women from the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales, the Society of African Missions, the Sisters of Jesus the Good Shepherd, the Daughters of Saint Paul, and the Society of St. Paul filled the refectory with warmth and laughter. This inter-congregational gathering fostered a strong sense of belonging and emphasized the bonds that unite those dedicated to lives of faith.

A highlight of the celebration was a touching tribute to the seminary’s kitchen staff, affectionately known as the “mommies.” They were serenaded, invited to a slow dance, and given roses as a token of appreciation for their tireless work and the love they pour into preparing meals for the seminary community.

Adding a personal touch to the celebration, seminarians shared their reflections on the meaning of love by writing heartfelt messages on a freedom board, creating a colorful display of diverse perspectives. The expressions ranged from thoughts on friendship and familial love to reflections on the broader meaning of love in vocation and service.
