Diocese of Imus SOCCOM Holds Advent Recollection at Saint Paul Seminary Foundation

Silang, Cavite – December 9, 2024 – The Social Communications Ministry (SOCCOM) of the Diocese of Imus gathered for a spirit-filled Advent Recollection at Saint Paul Seminary Foundation (SPSF) on December 7, 2024. With the theme “I am a Miracle of God,” the event offered participants a unique blend of spiritual reflection, joyful fellowship, and an introduction to the Pauline charism of social communication.

Led by Rev. Fr. Norman Melchor Peña, Jr., SSP, PhD, the recollection provided a space for participants to connect with their faith and prepare for the coming of Christ. The peaceful setting of the SPSF campus in Silang, Cavite, set the stage for a day of renewal.

Beyond moments of prayer and contemplation, the recollection also featured lively singing and dancing, fostering a sense of community among the SOCCOM representatives from various parishes. The warm hospitality of the seminarians from the Society of Saint Paul (SSP) and the Sisters of the Daughters of St. Paul (FSP) allowed participants to learn more about the Pauline Family’s distinct mission in the field of social communication. This unique charism, focused on spreading the Gospel through modern media, resonated with the SOCCOM members, many of whom are involved in communications within their own parishes.
