PASAY CITY — The St. Paul Seminary Foundation (SPSF) in Silang, Cavite joined the OurLady of Sorrows Parish community in celebrating its Fourth Novena Mass in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows as part of the parish’s 85th founding anniversary, with the theme “One Heart and Mind.”

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Micah Miguel Competente, SSP, with Fr. Norman Melchor Peña Jr., SSP as homilist. It was concelebrated by members of the Society of St. Paul from the Silang and Pasay communities, together with the seminarians of SPSF and the priests of the SSP-Pasay community.

A significant highlight of the celebration was the presentation of an ₱85,000 cash donation from the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in support of the Adopt a Seminarian Program – “Handog Mo, Bokasyon Ko.” Offered in celebration of the parish’s 85th anniversary, the donation will contribute to the needs and formation of seminarians as they continue their journey toward the Pauline vocation.

The gesture reflects the parish community’s continuing commitment to supporting vocations and becoming partners in the formation of young men preparing for Pauline ministry. Under the leadership of its parish priest, Fr. Cris Cellan, SSP, together with Fr. Restie Dela Peña, SSP, and Fr. Edong Dantis, SSP, the parish continues to extend its support to the formation of future priests.
For the seminarians of SPSF, the celebration was likewise an opportunity to experience the communion between the Pauline community and the faithful it serves. Through “Handog Mo, Bokasyon Ko,” the parish becomes a concrete partner in accompanying seminarians through prayer, generosity, and support. The Our Lady of Sorrows Parish has been closely connected with the history of the Society of St. Paul in the Philippines.
