Silang, Cavite — The Saint Paul Seminary community joyfully welcomes the new batch of aspiring seminarians from various parts of the country as the Formation Year 2025–2026 officially begins.

With the theme “PBB: Pauline Brotherhood Begins,” this year’s acceptance highlights the values of community, camaraderie, and brotherhood at the heart of seminary life. Fr. Samy Torrefranca, SPS Vocation Director, expressed his heartfelt gratitude and joy in welcoming more young men who are responding to the call of Pauline priesthood and brotherhood.

The celebration began with the Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Norman Peña, SSP, Rector and Dean of Studies of the seminary, together with Fr. Samy Torrefranca, SSP, Vocation Director as homilist, Fr. Pete Barisoro, SSP, the community’s confessor, and Rev. Vinz Aurellano, SSP, assistant to the Vocation Promoter.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the entire seminary community, along with the new aspirants and their families, shared a fraternal meal—marking the beginning of a new journey and a moment of thanksgiving.
At 1:00 PM, a special orientation meeting was held with the parents of the aspirants. The session served as an opportunity to discuss seminary life and address questions and concerns from the families. The formators emphasized that the support of parents plays a crucial role in the spiritual and human formation of their sons—a reminder that the seminary journey is also shared by the families who accompany them with faith and love.
The afternoon continued with introductory activities aimed at helping the newcomers get acquainted with the formators, the seminarians, and the community.
A few more aspirants from the Visayas region are expected to arrive in the coming days. The Rites of Acceptance will take place on June 14, during which the first-year aspirants will receive their prayer books and be formally welcomed by the formation team into the Seminary family.
